We have posted all the stats for the first 7 Potion Candles we created within our previous blog posts. We even took a more in-depth look at our Greater Candle of Healing. But today we are going to talk about our freshest smelling candle. That is our Effervescent Candle of Vitality.
Much like our candle of Healing we sought to make this candle straight forward and to the point. A potion of vitality cures any level of exhaustion you have as well as cures you any ailments you may be currently carrying. We made our candle of Vitality generally do the same thing except it would carry over to any other creature that is standing within a 5-foot radius of the candle while it burns. With these types of mechanics it would allow for both the Dungeon Master to throw more dangerous and poisonous foes at their party, and on the reverse side make the players choose where exactly they would like to light the candles. The players would have to be more careful about where they use the candle since the effects or benefits would be distributed to anyone standing inside the lit candles area of effect.
We did not want to limit Dungeon Masters creativity so we figured that the players may come across these potion candles in whichever way you see fit. Whether it's from finding them in an ancient temple, a different dimension, or getting them from some crazy wizard it would be totally up to the DMs. You are welcome to use whatever backstory best fits into your campaign/one-shot. We do not want to dictate how your players get ahold of the candles.
Wherein our Effervescent Candle of Vitality works much like a potion of vitality, by removing all levels of exhaustion and curing any disease or poison afflicting the creature. The difference would be that our candle is a more than one-time use item. Unlike a potion that a character drinks and that's that our Potion Candles can be lit and turned off. Creatures would have to stand next to our candle taking in the vapors for a continuous 10 minutes to gain the full effects. After 10 minutes the creature would then, for the next 24 hours, regain the maximum number of hit points for any Hit Die spent. The Dungeon Master can then dictate the burn time for the candles meaning they will have limited use but will last much longer than a single potion.
We are happy to provide these stats completely free. We want everyone to have a chance to use them in-game regardless if they have purchased from us or not. The stories that come from our candles being used in someone's campaign brings true joy to our hearts. Effervescent Candle Of Vitality
This candle removes all levels of exhaustion and cures any disease or poison for creatures within 5 feet of it while taking in the fragrance. After 10 minutes of being in the range of the candle, for the next 24 hours, you regain the maximum number of hit points for any Hit Die you spend. This candle has a piney scent that almost immediately invigorates you.
